The forgotten art of producing mead was revived in 1959 by A. Sinkevičius (1985-1989) the former director of the company “Lietuviškas Midus” in Stakliškės.Its production started in 1963 and it was named after a traditional Lithuanian dance. The beverage has a lush flavour and a slightly bitter aftertaste. 14 different ingredients, among which one can find various berry juices and natural herbs.
